Our Vision: We envision the District of Columbia as a thriving and diverse community where all people can obtain and remain in safe, affordable, and comfortable homes.

Our Mission: We support the holistic needs of individuals and families at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness. Housing is our starting point. Seeing people thrive is our finish line.

Mt. Moriah Baptist Church
Inclement Weather Policy

Please adhere to this policy in cases of inclement weather. Always call the church weather line
(extension #4), to be advised of all openings and closings. All openings and closings will also be
aired on WTTG FOX 5, WJLA 7, ABC 7, and NewsChannel 8. The church weather line should be
your first choice. Please note that if the Snow Emergency Route is in effect for the District of
Columbia our services will automatically be cancelled.

  • During inclement weather, there is a high probability that our early morning worship service at 8 a.m. will be canceled. Please check our weather line ext. 23, WTTG FOX 5, MYFOXDC.com, ABC 7, NewsChannel 8, and WJLA.com to be sure.

  • If the early morning service is canceled, it does not mean our 11 a.m. worship

service will also be canceled. Please check our weather line ext. 23, WTTG FOX 5,
MYFOXDC.com, ABC 7, NewsChannel 8, and WJLA.com for information.

  • If it appears that both worship services (8 am & 11 am) will be canceled, then we will either hold our worship service on Saturday, the day before at 11:00 a.m., or the following Wednesday at 7 p.m. This worship service will be ordered as a normal 11 a.m. worship service.
