Women's Weekend Celebration

You are cordially invited to this year’s Women’s Weekend Celebration!

 

The celebration will culminate on Sunday, April 24th, as Mt. Moriah welcomes guest minister, Rev. Tamieka Nicole Gerow of Tenth Street Memorial Baptist Church of Philadelphia, PA for the 10:00 AM worship service and again at 12:30 virtually.  In addition to Sunday morning worship, there are other ways that you can participate in the celebration as follows:

 

SHOW YOUR COLORS

Show your support by wearing attire in your favorite shade of green, yellow, white or combinations thereof on Sunday, April 24th whether in person on attending virtually. Post pictures of yourself on your social media account with the hashtag #mountmoriahdc.

 

MAKE A SPECIAL WOMEN’S DAY OFFERING

A sacrificial offering of $60 or more is recommended, but any amount will be helpful in supporting the mission of the church.  Be sure to mark your envelopes or electronic contributions – “Women’s Day.”

 

PURSES WITH A PURPOSE

Women are asked to donate a gently used purse filled with travel-size toiletries.  The Women’s Ministry will be partnering with Ward 7’s East of the River Strengthening Collaborative to gift seniors and others in the community.  Donations of up to 25 purses total will be accepted on Friday evening, April 22nd between 6:30 and 8:00 PM and again on Saturday, April 23rd in the afternoon between 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM. FAMILY GAME NIGHT - Bring Your Phone or Tablet!

Friday, April 22nd 6:30-8:00 PM - A fun-filled family game night has been planned.  Bring your family, friends and others out for good music, good fellowship and good fun. Remember to bring your phone or tablet as some games will be played on your device!

 

PAINT & SIP 

Saturday, April 23rd. -11:30 AM- 2:00 PM - Women are invited to come out and flex their creative talents during a Paint and Sip Fellowship Event featuring Artist Felecia Thompson.  Supplies will be provided. The cost for this event is $20. Click here to for the event.
